00:30 AM – 01:30 AM: Drive from Banyuwangi City up to the Paltuding Post (Basecamp of Mount Ijen).
01:30 AM – 01:45 AM: Arrive at Paltuding. Meet your local trekking guide, secure entry tickets, and receive your medical gas mask.
01:45 AM – 03:45 AM: Trek 3 km up the sandy trail of Mount Ijen (takes 1.5 to 2 hours of constant incline).
03:45 AM – 05:15 AM: Hike down into the caldera to witness the rare Electric Blue Fire, observe sulfur miners, and watch the sunrise over the turquoise acid lake.
05:15 AM – 07:30 AM: Hike back down to the Paltuding basecamp.
07:30 AM – 09:00 AM: Drive back down to your hotel in Banyuwangi City.
09:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Enjoy breakfast, a hot shower, and complete your final packing.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Check-out from the hotel.
12:00 PM – 05:30 PM: Long overland transfer drive from Banyuwangi to Lumajang Regency (the base area for Tumpak Sewu Waterfall). Lunch stop will be made mid-way.
05:30 PM – 06:00 PM: Arrive at your homestay/cottage near Tumpak Sewu (e.g., Dear Traveller Hotel or local eco-homestays), check-in, and relax.
07:00 PM – 08:30 PM: Dinner at the homestay or a local eatery. Night rest.
06:30 AM – 07:30 AM: Early breakfast at the homestay.
07:30 AM – 08:00 AM: Meet your local waterfall guide and walk to the Tumpak Sewu Panorama Viewpoint to admire the "Thousand Waterfalls" curtain from above.
08:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Descend into the deep ravine via bamboo ladders and rocky paths. Walk along the riverbed to stand at the foot of the massive waterfall canyon (Caution: trails are slippery and wet).
10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: Trek back up to the base, return to your homestay to shower and change into dry clothes.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Check-out from the Tumpak Sewu homestay.
12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Lunch at a local restaurant in Lumajang.
01:00 PM – 04:30 PM: Drive up through the mountain passes toward the Mount Bromo area (Cemoro Lawang or Sukapura village).
04:30 PM – 05:00 PM: Arrive at your Bromo hotel, check-in, and settle in.
06:30 PM – 08:00 PM: Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
08:00 PM – onwards: Sleep early to prepare for the early morning Jeep tour.
03:00 AM – 04:00 AM: Board your private 4WD Bromo Jeep and cross the Sea of Sand to the sunrise platform (Penanjakan 1 or Kingkong Hill).
04:00 AM – 06:00 AM: Sip hot tea/coffee at a local shack, then watch the iconic Golden Sunrise over the Bromo Caldera.
06:00 AM – 06:30 AM: Ride the Jeep down onto the black sand desert floor.
06:30 AM – 08:00 AM: Walk or ride a horse (optional cost) across the Sea of Sand, climb the 250 concrete steps, and look directly into the smoking active Bromo Crater.
08:00 AM – 08:30 AM: Return to the Jeep and head back to your hotel.
08:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Eat breakfast, take a hot shower, and complete your final packing.
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Check-out from the Bromo hotel.
11:00 AM – onwards: Final drop-off transfer. Depending on your travel plans, your driver can drop you off at:
