08:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Overland scenic drive along the West Bali national highway toward Gilimanuk Ferry Port.
01:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Rest stop and lunch at a local restaurant near the beach in Gilimanuk.
02:00 PM – 02:30 PM: Port check-in and boarding the public cross-island ferry.
02:30 PM – 03:30 PM: Cross the Bali Strait to Ketapang Ferry Port in Banyuwangi, Java (Note: Java time is 1 hour behind Bali time).
03:30 PM – 04:00 PM: Arrive in Java (02:30 PM local Western Indonesian Time). Drive straight to your hotel in Banyuwangi City.
02:30 PM – 03:00 PM: Check-in at your hotel
03:00 PM – 06:30 PM: Free time to rest up.
06:30 PM – onwards: Mandatory early sleep to prepare for the midnight wakeup call.
11:30 PM – 12:00 AM: Wake up, put on your warm layered clothing, and grab your breakfast box from the front desk.
12:00 AM – 01:15 AM: Your driver picks you up from the lobby. Take a midnight mountain drive up to Paltuding Post (the base camp of Mount Ijen).
01:15 AM – 01:45 AM: Arrive at Paltuding. Meet your local trekking guide, distribute your safety gas masks, and get a quick briefing.
01:45 AM – 03:45 AM: Begin the 3 km trek up the slope of Mount Ijen (approx. 1.5 to 2 hours of steady uphill walking on a dirt trail).
03:45 AM – 05:15 AM: Carefully descend 700 meters into the steep crater floor with your guide to witness the Electric Blue Fire. Watch the heavy sulfur smoke and look at the traditional sulfur miners working.
05:15 AM – 06:30 AM: Climb back up to the crater rim to enjoy the sunrise, capturing the vast panoramic view of the massive turquoise acid lake.
06:30 AM – 08:00 AM: Hike down the mountain path back to the Paltuding base camp.
08:00 AM – 09:15 AM: Drive back down the mountain road to your hotel in Banyuwangi City.
09:15 AM – 11:00 AM: Eat breakfast, take a long hot shower, pack your bags, and take a quick rest.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Check-out from the hotel.
11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Drive to Ketapang Ferry Port.
12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Board the ferry and cross back to Gilimanuk, Bali (Note: You lose 1 hour as you enter Bali time).
02:00 PM – 06:30 PM: Arrive back in Bali (02:00 PM Central Indonesian Time). Take the long drive back to your hotel in Bali. Drop off and tour ends.
